Welcome Nolan Konnor

This is a little late, but we wanted to welcome Nolan Konnor Parker into the world. He weighed 6lbs 11 oz and was born on April 21st. We are so happy for Shad, Jonna and big sister Evie. We can't wait for Austen to meet his future fraternity brother!

Birthday Weekend

I had a great birthday weekend. Jay and I were able to go to my favorite restaurant On the Border and I finally got the margarita I wanted. YUM! On my actual birthday we went over to my parents for a great dinner with my family. I treated myself to a new camera with money I still had left over from Christmas. I am pretty excited about it. My parents got me a new swimsuit for Florida and a memory card to go with my camera. I even got presents from Addy and Austen. Austen got me another beautiful angel to go with my collection and Addy got me a gift certificate to get my nails done. Jay's gift was even more exciting, he wants to take me out for a nice night out. I get to pick it whether it is going to a musical, a dinner cruise, or concert. I just have to find the right thing I want to do. I can't wait! Well here are some pictures from the weekend!

My Pretty Girl

Here is Addison all ready for school last week. She is growing up so fast!

Big Boy

It has been awhile since we posted. We switched our internet service so we are finally all set back up. Well Austen spent his last night in his bassinet on April 18th. We made the switch to his crib that Monday and he has been sleeping so well. He really loves his crib and goes to bed so amazing! He is such a good boy.

Weekend in Iowa

This past weekend we went back to Iowa for a friends reunion. It was a lot of fun. All of us have kids now or are expecting so it was fun to get all the kids together and then at night the adults went out for dinner and to a bar. It has been a long time since I have done that. We stayed with Jay's mom and were able to drive over with my parents which helped a lot. We were even able to squeeze in a quick visit to see my brother at Iowa State. Check out the pictures!

Weekend Pictures

Here are just some of my favorite pictures from the weekend! Enjoy.

First visit at the Park this year!

We were finally excited to get to the park. Addy just let loose and was all over. Thank goodness Jay was there to watch her. Austen was in the stroller and I just pushed him as we watched Addison. I was able to take some pictures of the fun times Addison had!

Austen

He just recently has started grabbing things. He loves grabbing his toys and blankets. Our little boy is getting so big.

Princesses and Papa

Last week Addy decided to play princesses with Papa and pile them all on him. Here is the result.

Cinderella

Now I can't mention my Austen without sharing a song about my Addison. I first heard this song when my mom shared it with me after she saw a father and daughter dance to it at a wedding, of course the song made me cry. Addison is so into the Disney princesses. She loves to dance like them and dress like them. This song just reminds me so much of her and of course makes me cry. Addison sees me crying and tells me "Don't cry mom, I am your friend" and then she gives me a kleenex. Gotta love that girl!

Watching You

I have always loved the Rodney Atkins song "Watching You", but haven't heard it recently until this week. It seems even more perfect since we now have our own little boy. I know Jay and Austen are going to have so many wonderful memories and things to share as father and son. I am sure Austen will be Jay's little shadow. This video is just as amazing as the song. Enjoy!

Austen's Baptism

On Easter we also had Austen's baptism. I have to say it was a pretty special and beautiful ceremony, mainly because we had our own private baptism. Addison also thought it was cool to be in the church when it was just us. She was sitting the pew behind us, so when Jay and I had to stand up with Austen, we heard Addy say to Nonna "Hey Nonna, I can not see Jesus anymore". I couldn't help but crack a smile. She had to move up to our pew so she could see him again. My sister Emily is Austen's godmother and my brother Bryan is his godfather. We are sad that my brother wasn't able to make the trip as he had two big exams this week to study for. We do hope we can see him soon! We are so blessed to have had such a special weekend with Jay becoming Catholic and Austen being baptized.
