Christmas Week

We had a full house over Christmas. Jay's whole family came to visit that meant that Addy got to have her cousins here to play with her. She had a blast and loved playing with them. We hosted Christmas Eve at our house like we did last year and it turned out great. Christmas Day was spent at my parents house and we had a very nice and relaxing day. Christmas was so much fun for Addy this year. She loved coming down to see what Santa brought her and was so excited by all the gifts. I believe she truly made our Christmas.We look at her every day and can not believe how grown up she has gotten. She is going to be an amazing big sister! Enjoy the pictures!

Merry Christmas

We want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! Christmas was so much fun this time with Addy. She got so into it and couldn't believe all the stuff she got. The main thing is she got Snow White which is what she wanted. She also got two Care Bears! Let's just say it was a great Christmas. We are very blessed!

Gingerbread Houses

Yesterday Addy and I went over to a friends house to make Gingerbread houses. Addy and I have never done that before. Addy enjoyed it so much. I got as many pictures as I could. She was really concentrating on decorating her house. Enjoy the pictures!

Visit with Santa

Today we went to go visit Santa in downtown CL. I was so excited for Addy. She was excited too....that is until we got there, but no crying just a little nervous. She did tell Santa that she wanted Snow White for Christmas and got a big smile when he handed her a candy cane! We managed to get at least a couple of pictures even though she wasn't looking she was smiling.

33 Weeks

This past week Jay surprised me with ordering me a holiday maternity shirt. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love this holiday and love wearing christmas shirts. I tried on some of the regular ones I had and of course they weren't fitting right. I was pleased when I went to get the mail that there was a cute maternity holiday shirt in there. I was so excited. So of course I had to wear it to take my belly picture. I love it! Thanks Jay you are the best!

Tree Lighting with Santa

Last night Jay and I decided to take Addy to the tree lighting event in Huntley. We thought it would be fun for Addy to see Santa and to see all the lights. We didn't wait in line because the line was way too long, but she was excited to see him and he walked right past her to say hello. I got a pretty good picture of that. We will go see Santa again in Downtown Crystal Lake where Addy can actually sit on Santa's lap and tell him what she wants. Addy tells us she is asking Santa for Snow White. Very cute! In Memory

This is very hard for me to talk about, but yesterday we lost our family's dog Sammy Jo. My family got her when I was a senior in highschool. She was a HUGE part of our family and will be missed more than she will ever know. I am so glad Addy got to meet her and she loved Sammy so much. I think telling Addy was very hard especially when we were over at my parents house today and she asked where Sammy was. The tears started right away, but she knew because I had talked to her about it and she just hugged me. Although Sammy is now somewhere where she can walk, see and is in no pain. As my dad put it she is with my grandfather(Boppa) sitting in his lap and running on the beach which she so loved to do when we were in Florida. We miss you Sam!

Trimming the Tree

The day after Thanksgiving we did our tradition of going to my parents to help decorate their tree and have pizza for dinner. It was so fun, because Addy got so into it this year! She loved helping!

31 Weeks and counting

I can not believe I am almost 32 weeks. My doctor appointments are already every 2 weeks and pretty soon I will be going every week. We feel truly blessed that all this is happening for us. I am also very blessed for my job opportunity and how I was able to get promoted to this new position. Also not only that, but that my manager had so much trust in me to want me for this position. I will be taking some maternity leave when the baby comes , but she knew she would be losing me for a couple of months and still had her total faith in me that I am the best person for the job. I look forward to what a great opportunity this brings for me. I can not believe it is almost Thanksgiving, just a couple weeks will be Christmas, then our little baby will be here! We are so excited to meet our new little addition to our family!
