BODYFLOW

Well today I tried something new. My sister Katie is training to become a BODYFLOW instructor at the local healthclub and asked if I would take the class today. I have to say I was a little nervous about the whole thing considering I have never taken BODYFLOW before, but it was pretty fun and I can definitly feel a workout. Some of you may have not heard about bodyflow before and this is the definition that is given on the Lesmills website.

BODYFLOW™ is the Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates workout that leaves you feeling long, strong, centered and calm. It’s your personal time out from the stress and strains of daily life – a 55-minute group exercise-to-music class that enhances your physical and mental well-being.

It is pretty amazing and she did an excellent job teaching it and is really great at it. If you are ever given the option to try it at your healthclub I would suggest at least trying it out.

Playdates

Today we were very busy. We had two playdates today. Our first one was with Mya and Jimmy my friend Arlyn's kids. Addison and Mya had fun chasing each other. They even ate lunch together which was amazing to see Addison sit at a big kid table eating her lunch instead of in her highchair. I got a picture of it because I thought it was so cute. I think Addy pretty much wore herself out there. Then after lunch we went over to my friend Stacy's house to see Parker. It had been a long time since we had seen them. Addy was way too fast for me to get a picture of the two of them. Parker has really grown up so much and is crawling and he also has so much to say. It was fun to be able to let Addy play but also have some adult conversation of my own.

Easter Weekend

We had a very nice Easter weekend. Addy got to do two easter egg hunts one on Saturday at my parents and one at our house on Easter. She really caught on to the concept of finding all the eggs and putting them in her basket. It was so cute. Addy's grandmother from Iowa came down so she got to spend sometime seeing how much Addy does now. She definitly could see how busy she was. I went a little overboard taking pictures of her because she looked so darn cute in her Easter Dress and hat. Here are a lot of pictures from our weekend. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday to Katie and Addy is 19 months old

Today is my sister's birthday so we celebrated it tonight out to dinner. Addy loved being with everyone at dinner. She loved it when the waiters came over and clapped to sing Katie Happy Birthday. She just smiled and started clapping along with them.
I hope that my sister had a great day and I can not believe Addy is 19 months already!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hope everyone has a great St. Pats day! Jay and I celebrated Saturday night at a bar drinking our green beer. Addy is all dressed in her green today! Taking pictures of her these days isn't easy. She is just too busy for the camera.

Swimming Lessons

Addy loves her swimming lessons and this week Dad went with her while Mom watched. She just has no fear when she is in the water. She went underwater a couple of times and was fine. She is way more interested in doing other things instead of what the other kids are doing. She seems so much more comfortable in the water than the other kids...well except for this one kid who will literally run into the pool and jump into his dad's arms. Crazy. Here are some pics. I think I got some pretty good ones.

Open Gym

Today we met with another friend and went to an Open Gym at a Gymnastics Center and I wasn't sure how Addy would be, but she of course LOVED it. It gave her a chance to run around and try new things....and mainly make mom tired. This girl has NO fear though. She just runs and runs and doesn't care how many times she falls down. We will probably definitely check out that place again and also see if there are other places closer to our house. Here are some pictures from her adventure. Enjoy!

Visit at Nana and Papa's house

Today was a fun day. We went to lunch at my grandparents house where my cousins Stacy, Jessica and Margaret were also there with their kids. So Nana and Papa finally had all 4 great-grandchildren together at one time. It was great. It was also the first time we got to meet Laila, Margaret's baby girl. We even managed to get a group picture of all of us, thanks to my Aunt Karen who took the picture. It will be nice when we can meet at a park when it is nice out! I think Nana and Papa enjoyed having everyone there and are probably pretty tired out after all of us left. Enjoy the pictures there are a lot

American Girl

One of my favorite songs these days is Carrie Underwood's All American Girl. When I heard it, it just totally reminded me of Jay and our little girl that it immediately became a new favorite of mine. It is the cutest song ever. I have attached the video. Enjoy!

Visiting Auntie Em's new place

This past weekend we surprised Auntie Em and showed up at her apartment to help her move in. We were sad she was moving to the city, but we know that we will still see her a lot. Addy tried to be as much of a help as she could, but it was a smaller space that she was used to and Dora wasn't on TV. She got to sit at Auntie Em's kitchen table with Nonna to have a treat. She loved it.

A new thing that Addy has learned is to eat with a spoon. We started with applesauce and now she also eats yogurt. She isn't the 'neatest' eater, but she is definitely learning. We are proud of her. Enjoy the pictures!

Playdate with Keira and Natalie

Today we had a very busy day. Addy's best friend Keira came over to play. I had put Addy down for an earlier nap so she was sleeping when they arrived, but was excited to see both Natalie and Keira when she woke up. It is fun to watch them. Keira really liked playing with the baby doll and was very loving with the baby. It is good she is like that since she has a little brother on the way. One big thing that Addy and Keira have in common is they both LOVE Dora the Explorer. They both get really excited to see Dora. We had such a nice visit and it is always nice when you have kids that will play together that way the moms can talk. They also loved running and chasing each other. The cutest was when they said goodbye. They gave each other a bunch of hugs, of course my camera is so slow so I tried to capture it. Keira is talking a lot so she would go up to Addy wave and say Bye Addy. It was adorable! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Addy Swimming Lessons

Addy had her swimming lessons start this weekend. We can safely say that she is not afraid of the water. She wanted to go on by herself without any help from mom. She was by far way more advanced then the other kids. She didn't like being held. She was ready to go swim on her own. She would also turn around to smile at Dad and Grandpa. She loves the attention. :)
She definitly wore mom out that is for sure. We are of course already looking forward to next weekend. This week will be a busy week for us as I am working M-Th so she will be with me every day at work. She for sure should be tired, but the end of the day.
We are just praying for some warm weather soon!
