New Song

I just heard the best song on my way to work this morning. Darius Rucker who was in Hootie and the Blowfish, now is a country artist and his songs are amazing. The words touched so close to my heart and I could relate to everything he was saying. If you have not heard this song I suggest you go to his website and listen to it. To all my friends who have children you know how fast the time flies and how fast they grow up. I still can not believe that our little Addison is 2 1/2 years old. I still remember the day she was born and when the doctor told us we had a brand new baby girl. I have tears in my eyes as I write this. She is our true blessing!

He didn't have to wake up
He'd been up all nite
Lay'n there in bed listen'n
To his new born baby cry
He makes a pot of coffee
He splashes water on his face
His wife gives him a kiss and says
It gonna be OK

It wont be like this for long
One day soon we'll look back laugh'n
At the week we brought her home
This phase is gonna fly by
So baby just hold on
It won't be like this for long

Four years later bout four thirty
She's crawling in their bed
And when he drops her off at preschool
She's clinging to his leg
The teacher peels her off of him
He says what can I do
She says now don't you worry
This will only last a week or two

It wont be like this for long
One day soon we'll drop her off
And she wont even know you're gone
This phase is gonna fly by
If you can just hold on
It wont be like this for long

One day soon she'll be a teenager
And at times you'll think she hates him
Then he'll walk her down the aisle
And he'll raise her veil
But right now she up and cry'n
And the truth is that he don't mind
As he kisses her good night
And she says her prayers
He lays down there beside her
Till her eyes are finally closed
And just watch'n her it breaks his heart
Cause he already knows
It wont be like this for long
One day soon that little girl is gonna be
All grown up and gone
Yeah this phase is gonna fly by
He's try'n to hold on
It wont be like this for long
It wont be like this for long

Addy is loving these bows that her grandma Chris bought her. She always wants the "bows" in her hair, luckily she has enough hair for me to put it up. They are really the cutest bows. She orders them from a lady in Iowa. The name of the business is called Pip Squeak Bowtique, here is her website http://pip-squeakbowtique.blogspot.com Check it out there are so many cute bows that she makes! Here are some pictures of Addy in her bows.

Swimming Lessons

Today I was so impressed with Addy at her lessons. She did so good. Every lesson she gets better and better. Her teacher Miss Katie wasn't there today so we had another teacher Miss Leslie and she was great with the kids. She did songs with them and had them lay on their backs. They also got a special treat of using a noodle in the water to help them learn to float. My parents got to go too and they were really impressed. Here are some pictures I took. My mom gave her a towel as we left the locker room and she looked like such a big girl holding her towel. Where did my little baby go?

More Swimming

Addy had swimming lessons again today and she LOVEd it. She ended up getting a private lesson because the other girl didn't show up. I am so impressed with how comfortable she is with the water. Every time she would look over at me she just had the biggest smile on her face. She was so proud of herself. Her teacher Miss Katie had her do bubbles again and well as work with laying on her back. Here are some pictures from her lesson today.

Boo Boo Bunny

Addy started wanting Boo Boo Bunny. She got it from my mom a long time ago. It is this cute little pink bunny with an ice cube inside of it. Well the other day she had hurt her finger and I said "Let's get Boo Boo Bunny"...big mistake. Lately anytime she falls or anything she cries.."Boo Boo Bunny Mama". Jay said the other night she even wanted Boo Boo Bunny to eat dinner with her. It is really cute when you hear her say it. Here are some pictures of Addy and her Boo Boo Bunny.
