Austen's 1st swimming lesson

Austen had his first swimming lesson today and Jay was able to participate in it since I had to work. My dad was great and took pictures of him so I didn't feel like I missed too much. Here are some of the pictures! Enjoy!

The Wizard of Oz

Yesterday my mom and I took Addy to see The Wizard of Oz at Crystal Lake South Highschool starring a girl I work with at Healthbridge. She played the lead Dorothy. The whole production was really amazing, everything from the special affects, to the costumes and the singing. Thanks to Sam(Dorothy) we had AMAZING seats, third row and right on the aisle. Addy seriously couldn't wait for the show to start. She did so good thru this show. It ran about 2 1/2 hours and she watched the whole thing. She was a little scared of the Witch and the flying monkeys. During the flying monkey scene there were a couple of monkeys that actually came down the aisles of the theater. She is like they almost got me. Ha, it was so cute.

After the show she couldn't wait to meet everyone. The whole time during the show she said I do not want to meet the Wicked Witch, well the first one that came out of the dressing room was the Witch and she got right down to Addy's level and she gave her a big hug. Afterward she said mom she is a nice witch now, she isn't mean anymore. So cute! I loved how excited she was to meet everyone. She even got to meet and pet Toto who loved giving kisses. Playdate with Parker and Easton

We had our friends over this past Thursday for a playdate. Parker and Addy had a lot of fun. They seem to have the same amount of energy which you can just imagine. Easton and Austen had fun, although Austen already is starting to not want to share his toys with his friends. When him and Easton played together they looked so cute! Easton is walking already which is so weird to see since he is still so little. I can only imagine for when Austen starts walking, I think he will go right to running to keep up with Addy. Here are some cute pictures of the kids. Addy and Parker were playing dress up if you couldn't tell.

PJ Day at School

On Valentine's Day I tried to be a fun mom and make Heart Shaped pancakes. When Addy saw them she is like "Mom I don't want those, I just want the circle ones" I told her how cute they were and that they taste exactly the same, but there was no convincing her. Luckily, Austen ate them right up. Later that day she made a Valentine just for her boyfriend Truman. She was so excited to give it to him at my work.

Valentine's Weekend

Addy's 1st day of school

Addy had her first day of preschool today and she couldn't have been more excited. She was wearing her backpack all morning. I was so happy for her because she had been looking forward to this day for so long. Austen and I were able to run 3 different errands while she was at school. It is amazing what you can get done with just 1 kid. It is nice to have this time with Austen and even though I got a little teary-eyed dropping Addy off at school she couldn't have been happier. I swear seeing your kids smile and happy melts the heart.
