Addy Graduates
Today Addy had her graduation from her Tiger Cub preschool. It was just precious. She was so happy and just kept smiling. It was so cool to see her on that same stage where I had performed many times during my highschool years. She had a lot of people there to support her including Jay, myself, Austen, Nonna, Grandpa, Nana and Papa. Here are some pictures of her. They even wore a cap and gown!

Brookfield Zoo
We decided to go to the zoo Saturday after I got off work. We thought we could just see whatever animals we could just for a nice afternoon as a family. Addy and Austen both slept on the way there which was nice. Addy loved the zoo. We let her pick which animals she wanted to see. She of course wanted to see the monkeys first. She was a little scared going into the monkey area and decided that the first big monkey she saw she did not like. We also saw the elephants, buffalo, and the giraffes. We tried to find the bears, but they were in a new exhibit and by that time we were pretty tired and the zoo was getting ready to close. Austen did pretty good as I carried him in the baby bjorn. Here are some pictures from our trip to the zoo.
Austen is 4 months
Austen had his 4 month appt on Friday and all was good till those stupid shots. I really believe that is one of the hardest things in the world. My poor boy just looked at me and screamed, I felt so helpless. He weighed in at 14 lbs 7 oz and was 26 inches long. Addy had to go with to this appt since my dad had to go into a meeting. She did a good job singing to him before he got his shots to make him feel better. He stopped crying to listen to her sing, it is amazing the gift she has. We also started him on bananas friday night and he loves them as well. Here are some pictures from his visit.

Mother's Day Weekend
We had a great Mother's Day weekend. We decided to give Austen his first cereal that Saturday night. He loved it. He couldn't get enough of it. Sunday we went to my parents for brunch and it was nice to see the family. The only family member that wasn't there was my sister Katie, but that is because she is in Italy. We did talk to her on the computer though. It was fun to see everyone and we are very much looking forward to Florida which we leave in less than 2 weeks!!!

Happy Mother's day!!!
BEFORE I WAS A MOM
Before I was a Mom;
I made and ate hot meals,
I had unstained clothing,
I brushed my hair every day,
I had quiet conversations on the phone,
I slept as late as I wanted and I slept all night long.
Before I was a Mom;
I cleaned my house each day,
I never tripped over toys or forgot lullabies,
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous,
I had never been puked on, pooped on, spit on, chewed on, peed on, or
pinched by tiny fingers.
Before I was a Mom;
I never thought about immunizations,
I never held a screaming child so the doctors could give shots,
I never looked into teary eyes and cried,
I never felt my heart break into pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt,
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
Before I was a Mom;
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down,
I never sat up late hours of the night watching a baby sleep,
I never got up in the middle of the night to make sure everything was okay,
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
Before I was a Mom;
I had complete control of my mind, my thoughts and my body,
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside of my body,
I didn't know that having something so small could make me feel so
important,
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache,
the wonderment, or the satisfaction of being a mom.
Before I was a Mom;
I never knew that something so small could effect my life so much,
I never knew that I could love someone so much,
I never knew I would love being a Mom,
I didn't know the bond between a Mother and her child,
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much.

Addy
My mom and I went to observe Addy's school the other day and she was so cute. She didn't know we were there and we just got to watch her play with the kids and listen to the teachers. She saw us as she came out of the classroom and was pretty excited as you can tell by the pictures. She was walking with her teacher buddy Miss Sarah. After school we came back to my parents house and she went for a walk with my dad. We also played outside which she LOVES to do.
Enjoy the pictures of our precious girl!
